What happens at the Listowel North Pole Express?

Arriving 30 minutes before your train journey you will meet Santa’s Elves and our Storyteller before boarding the Lartigue for a magical journey to the North Pole. On the way you’ll have a chance to post your letter to Santa Claus! When you arrive you’ll be taken to our festive craft workshop where you’ll help Mrs Claus and the Elves create beautiful ornaments that you can treasure for years to come! Santa Claus can’t wait to meet all the boys and girls and has a very special gift for everyone who comes to see him on the Listowel North Pole Express! A photo with Santa can be collected later at McGuire’s Pharmacy on Church St., Listowel.

How long is Santa’s Magical Trail?

The train journey, meeting Santa Claus and other activities will last approximately 1 hour.

Where do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased via our website. For group bookings of 10 or more please contact us directly. Once paid tickets will automatically be emailed to the address you provided.

Tickets can ONLY be purchased through our website. Tickets can NOT be purchased at the door.

WHAT DO WE NEED ON THE DAY?

It is advised that all persons bring appropriate warm clothing as this is an outdoor as well as an indoor experience.  Also children are required to bring their Santa Letter that they received in the information pack in the post, as they will need to have it completed so they can post it in the special Post Box.

Is this a indoor/outdoor experience?

The event is both an indoor and outdoor event, so please dress appropriately.

Will children receive a gift from Santa?

Yes, each child will receive a special gift from Santa. A professional photo of your visit will also be captured and included in your gift. You will receive a token, please present the token at McGuires Pharmacy to collect your photo.

Will we receive a Family Photo?

Family Photos will be available to collect at McGuire’s Pharmacy, Church Street on the day following your visit or any day during December or January. Alternatively we will be happy to email your photo to you. Please arrange this with us on the day of your visit.
Family Passport photos are available from Brodericks Pharmacy, William Street on presentation of a stamped passport. If the allocated stamp times are not convenient  passports can be stamped at any time during the day in the specified shops.

Dates and Times

The Listowel North Pole Express runs each Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 24 November 2017 to 17 December 2017.

Each train leaves on the hour from 11am to 2pm. Please see the booking page for more details.

‘Young at Heart’ – Santa has enlisted the help of a local artist to create a very special and unique gift that can be enjoyed by the young and not so young! Are you one of Santa’s special friends? Please click the young at heart option to receive a meaningful gift you will treasure.

All tickets need to be purchased online, with the exception of group booking for 10 or more.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your train departure time.

Can I change or cancel my booking

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Changes to bookings are not permitted, so please insure that the date and time is suitable when booking your tickets.

Is there wheelchair accessibility?

There is wheelchair accessibility as far as the train platform but not to the train itself.

Can I bring my buggy?

Yes buggies can be stored onsite before getting on the train.

Where are we located?

We are located at the Lartigue Monorail and Museum on the John B. Keane Road, Listowel, Co Kerry. Please see our contact page for a map.

Are there parking facilities?

There are 19 parking places at the venue itself. We would encourage patrons to avail of the free parking available in Listowel town. This can be accessed at the rear of St. Patrick’s Hall on William Street or near Carroll’s Yard at the Island bridge. There is also paid parking around town.

Are pets allowed?

No pets are allowed, guide dogs and assistant dogs are welcomed
